Soakin' Wet!

This was taken yesterday morning at Aunt Debra's after our bath.  Carmen is actually starting to enjoy bath-time, spreading her wings out and even allowing Aunt Debra to wash her tummy! 

We have some exciting times coming up!  This weekend we'll be spending time with our feathered-friends at DJ Aviaries as Aunt Debra is heading to Virginia Beach for the weekend.  She REALLY wanted to take us with her, but we REALLY weren't up for a very long ride in the car.

Next weekend, we're moving to Leesburg!  Aunt Debra is going to be house sitting and she got permission to bring us.  We're really looking forward to spending some time on the screened-in porch!

Tug O' War

Our favorite Aunt Debra brought us a surprise...foot toys filled with seeds!  We each have our own, but it's much more fun to play tug o' war. 

Debra was offered a blue-crowned (crested) conure from a friend.  We don't want any other stinkin' birds around here, and neither does Uncle Richard.  Debra is tempted. . .

Enjoying Aloe Vera

Here we are enjoying another of our favorite snacks...fresh Aloe Vera.  Debra had forgotten how much we liked it until she saw Jack trying his very hardest to reach the plant next to the cage.  We just had our morning "sh-sh-shower" as Jack likes to say...today is Monday so we'll soon be heading back to Dolphin Quest and all our friends there.  Life is Good!

We had a fun time on Saturday night.  We love our Uncle Richard and friends Shelagh and Nona were here too.  We kinda like them too.  Nona gave us a shower and Shelagh let us have a bite of her food!

We Love Hemp Bread!

Here we are sharing one of our favorite foods.  Jack takes a bit of a break to preen (or pluck), and check out his eyes pinning...I think that means he likes it.  This bread can only be purchased at the Health Food Store and contains no flour.  Lots of healthy ingredients!

We're looking forward to the weekend already!  Aunt Debra has an appointment this afternoon, so we'll be taking off early and going for a ride before we go to her house for the weekend.  Jack especially loves car rides because his Wingabago sits on top of Carmen's travel cage, they get seat-belted in, and Jack gets to enjoy the view while happily chattering away.  Maybe today we'll let Carmen have the room with the view...at least one way!

Jack just wanted to let everyone know what he looks like with feathers.  This photo was taken 1/19/11.  Jack decided he didn't like those feathers, so he got rid of them and is going to grow some better ones.

Fun at Dolphin Quest

We are such lucky birds!  We have so many cool places to hang out.  Here is our play stand at Dolphin Quest.  We have THREE cages and a play stand at the office.  This is where Debra likes us to be when she really wants to keep an eye on us!

Last Friday, we went to see our buddy, Dr. Stahl.  I got a beak and nail trim, Carmen got a nail trim.  I screamed like a wild banshee during this part of the exam.

The Weekend

Happy Weekend!  We arrived at Aunt Debra's last night and are looking forward to the weekend.  We like it here b/c we have toys that we haven't seen all week and Debra makes us scrambled eggs with the shell on Sunday.  She has been letting us hang around on top of the cage and we like that so much better.  She makes sure to keep an eye on us.  We're glad that Kasey the crazy canine is gone.  We like Kody and the rest of the K's.
